What is one thing that I have learned from an older person? I have learned a lot from older people, like my brother for instance, I learned how to smoke, drink, ride BMX bikes, and pick up girls. I also learned how to do math, English, and science from teachers, I learned how to play the guitar and play the baritone from teachers too.
How do I deal with gossip? When I here gossip about one of my friends I try to stop it from spreading, but if I here gossip about someone I don’t even know then I just try to stay put of it.
Do I know anybody who has died of an overdose? No I don’t know of anybody who has died of a drug overdose, but I do know someone who died in my life. My friend threatened to kill himself and I didn’t believe him but I went to his house just in case, I got to his house and went to his room and he was bleeding really bad ‘cause he had cut his wrists (our motto was “when you cut you don’t go across the road you go down it”) we called an ambulance but they didn’t get there fast enough. Yeah, it’s kind of a touchy subject to me. I was really depressed and wouldn’t talk to any one for like a month.

Tom,
It takes a lot of courage to share so much personal information. You are very brave. I know the saying you're talking about, people at my high school would say that as well. When I was younger, my best friend had threatened to kill herslef by cutting her wrists as well. Luckily, i had called for help in time and she was sent to a rehabilitation center for while.
I like how you get staright to the point in your writing. I like quick reading. In the sake of of writing papers though, try and drag out what you're saying a little more. Try using more details rather than just rushing through to get the assignment done.
Other than that, great job!
That is a really hard subject to talk about. I had a friend once that shot himself. My friends and I didn't believe him when he said that he was going to kill himself. But the next day someone found his body in the park. They had a huge assembly in the school, and said that his family wanted some time to them selves. It was a really hard school year that year. But it's good that you were able to write about that.
Yeah that is dome deep stuff. i have had some one that died in my life as well. SO i guess that I can try to relate. Keep your head up!
I think that you should not have learned that from your brother. I learned a lot about drugs from my brother too. I wish now that i didn't listen to him. Teachers help a lot with learning things. I think that you can learn both good and bad from your older people.
Tom,
That take's alot of courage to have to deal with all of that.To stand up for what you believe in.I'm sorry to hear about your friend. You have a strong personality i have had a couple of my friend commit succide and it was tough.
